This beautiful course is a mixture of links and woodland offering stunning views over the sea.
Each year it hosts the most important international golfing event in the Azores - the Sata Azores Open - in conjunction with the Furnas course.
Furnas Golf Club and Batalha Golf Clubs have the same management.

The Batalha course, formerly belonging to Verde Golf, is going to be developed into the first luxury golf resort by its new owners Oceânico.

Future plans for the Azores Islands include the construction of a third golf course on the island of Faial and of a fourth one in a location still to be decided.
