About
the course
Located in the mountains with beautiful lakes, fairways lined
by large trees and small, undulating greens.
Each year it hosts the most important international golfing
event in the Azores - the Sata Azores Open - in conjunction
with the Batalha course.
Furnas and Batalha Golf Clubs have the same management (formerly
Verde Golf, now Oceânico).
Future plans for the Azores include the construction of a
third golf course on the island of Faial and of a fourth one
in a location still to be decided.
