Near Lagos in the western Algarve, coming from Faro on the A22, turn to Odiáxere / Mexilhoeira (10 Km before Lagos), turn to Odiáxere, and left on the Meia Praia and Golf Course Signs.

"The higher part of the course features unforgettable views of the Ocean and Alvor estuary. There are sea views from 90% of the tees.
The lower holes near the beach incorporate links dunes and long grasses and the sound of the sea."

Palmares has hosted many tournaments among which two PGA Europrotour tournaments in 2003 and has been the qualifying School of European Seniors Tour since 2002.

The course is under full rebuilding,the first new 10 holes are ok but the remaining 8 are and do leave a lot to be desired.there is no rating as they use the old course ratings and you find par threes at low rating and short lengths.
You should contact the course and secure a correct update as to when the course will be fully open with the holes on the "beach" area. Found it expensive for what it is.
