Parque da Floresta is a lovely resort based course. It is
a
tough course to walk as it is very hilly in places, buggys
are 40 Euros extra on an already expensive course. When you
hand over your hard earned wad do not expect a friendly face
to receive it, you won't get it - don't let this put you off.
The course does offer some fantastic landscaping and a
very good variation of holes with some tricky hazards, you
generally get plenty of time to appreciate it all as well
as pace is not the priority for many of the retired members.
Save up your Euros and give it a go, or better still get yourself
a golden handshake and buy yourself a villa on the complex
and benefit from half price fees.
The course does have a good chipping practice area and driving
range. The 19th offers fantastic views of the 10th and 18th
and is a fun place to watch some tired faces coming up the
hill to finish. Drinks in the bar are pricey but if you've
gone this far what's another few quid. There is also a restaurant
there which serves quality nosh.
In summary its definite treat yorself but probably worth it.

I to agree with most of the comments made in the first review
apart from the "friendly faces" bit. We found the
staff pleasant and helpful. Definitely need a buggy and take
your own balls and tees as these are expensive in the shop.
The course is a little expensive too but my friend and I played
a round with hired clubs, one pair of hired shoes[a good idea
he'd forgotten his] and a buggy for around 100 euro each,
so not bad for such a wonderful time in the blazing sunshine
considering the price of some courses I've played in rainy
Scotland. For even better value book through a specialised
company and get discount prices when playing two or three
different courses. All in all a great day out and would recommend
trying this course if only for the very scary par 3, 80 odd
yards 5th [i think]. Go on your on your jollys
