I don't usually do this but I felt I had to with the poor experience I had. I was staying in Cala de Mijas, Costa del sol and I thought I would try a nearby 9-hole golf course, La Noria which is not much more than a par 3 course, very "squeezed" into a small area. The quality of the hire clubs was also very poor but the worst part of the whole experience was the unfriendly, unhelpful and outright "hookery" of the staff. They insisted I paid for 18 holes and promised that if I only played 9, they would refund the difference. I didn't question it because theres a municipal course at home that operates like this....they are paranoid about players paying for 9 and playing 18! Needless to say when I came in after 9 they would not repay me the difference. I managed to get speaking to the actual owner who eventually agreed to give me a voucher for another 9 holes which I did'nt want.
Avoid, its not good value for money, instead checkout Sunshine golf, andalucia. They will sort you out with a proper course and a good set of hire clubs.
