I recently holidayed in Lanzarote and had a game of 9 holes on the course.
The course is superb considering it's the only one in Lanzarote and none on its neighbouring island Fuerteventura. Facilities are good, staff friendly and helpful and a good atmosphere to the course.
The course itself is in a good condition with views of Costa Teguise, Arrecife and the Atlantic Ocean. Fairways are neatly cut, the bunkers are black because of the volcanic nature of the island and the greens are reasonable (a few are quite worn and need their turf relaying).
If you are planning to have a game on the course I strongly recommend that you book in advance if you want a game and you can only play 9 holes after 3pm.
They will ask you for a handicap but you will be fine if you don't have a handicap. Just play from the Red Tees and make it clear to them you know the Golf Rules and Etiquette and you will be fine. Also take a few balls with you because you will lose some first time or if the wind intercepts your shot and blows it into some rocks at the side.
I will be definitely playing on this course the next time I come to the island. Alex Roberts March 2, 2005
