Founded in 1907, moving to its present location in 1928. The course was officially opened on 29th March by the legendary six time Open champion, Harry Vardon and the famous course designer James Braid.
Location
Situated on the outskirts of Basingstoke close to the Hampshire/Berkshire border in the north of Hampshire, some 50 miles south west of London and has excellent links to both the M3 and M4 motorways.
Travelling by South West Trains from Waterloo takes approximately 50 minutes to Basingstoke station.
M3, exit at junction 7 and take the A30 towards Basingstoke. The entrance to the Club is approximately 1 mile from the M3 on the
M4, take the A33 from junction 11.

The club is a regular host to a number of County amateur and professional events including all the major County Championships.
