Picturesquely situated in 111 acres of parkland and woodland on the banks of the river Hamble, Fairthorne Manor is eight miles east of Southampton and is within two hours travel from London.
Directions:
From M27 J7 take the A334 signposted Botley, keeping Sainsburys on your left as you leave the junction roundabout. Continue on the A334 over 4 roundabouts. Continue on the road through Botley village, an dpast Botley Mills, stil lon the A334. At the top of the rise take the right turn, signposted YMCA National Centre. Continue along this road and you will see the exit drive first. At this point slow as the entrance drive is just after
a blind corner on the right. The nearest train station is Botley.

• Facilities for watersports such as kayaking, sailing and raft-building as well as other outdoor pursuits including abseiling, aerial runway, pioneering and orienteering.
Beginners will benefit from the fact that no hole exceeds 300 yards in length and the 'intimidation factor' is therefore greatly reduced. High to mid-handicappers will be rewarded for straight hitting and careful club selection, developing their course management skills. Experienced, low-handicappers will be presented with a different set of challenges to those they may be used to.

My friend and I played the back 9 yesterday and were very pleasently suprised! No need to book a tee time just pay and play! (10 for 9 holes - £17 for 18) Walked straight on and had a really good round. Every hole was different and although not all that long was challenging enough for a couple of rank amateurs! Bench at every tee to rest weary feet and best of all really quiet. Played at our own pace and had a great time. Staff very friendly and helpful. Definite recommend!
