| About the course |
"Whilst each hole has its own individual character, one feature of particular note on the course is the bunker which runs some 200 yards down the right hand side of the 12th hole. This is claimed to be the longest bunker in golf and although in recent years narrow crossing points have been built into the bunker, the claim remains unchallenged."
During the 1990's Blackwell played host as a Regional Qualifying Course for the Open on six occasions.
