Course Description Course Description, courtesy of Graeme Humphries, The Vale Golf Club Sales and Marketing Manager 04 November 2008 "A course in harmony with its surroundings the International Course offers the perfect balance between a golfing challenge and the natural aesthetics of the superb Midlands location. Bob Sandow and our professional greenkeeping team have created a course that has quickly become one of the Midland's best. Making the most of the fantastic scenery and rolling countryside, The Vale Golf Club has something for every golfer and has a very mature feel given its 1991 completion date.
The Vale golf Club not only has the on course golfing facilities but also has a fantastic driving range, putting green, practice area, locker facilities and buggies. This all helps to complete the fantastic experience associated with the Vale Golf Club. The course and golfing facilities are all complemented by the impressive club house with fantastic service and an excellent atmosphere.
The 1st hole, par 4, offers a welcoming start to your round, open fairway drive to 197 yard dogleg right.  Golfers need to try to keep the drive down the right hand side of the fairway this will leave a shorter 2nd shot to this opening hole.
On the 5th hole you need to find the correct level the pin is on, as this is a difficult 3 tier narrow green, steps rise from front to back.
The 9th, par 5, will always a challenge to carry the ditch.  If you manage this, keep the ball to the right side of the tree, otherwise keep is short of the ditch for an easy lay up to the green.  A generous green with only moderate slope but you must avoid the surrounding bunkers.
A blind drive from the 12th, par 4, past the marker post leaves a safe mid or short iron into a tricky green below you.  Plenty of slopes to read on this green, the left corner of this green is much lower than the rest.
At the 15th, par 4, the brave favour the left leaving a short iron in.  Tee shots run to the right side leaving a mid iron to a lower green guarded by bunkers.  Another large green which falls from back to front.
Finally the 18th, par 4, aim your tee shot on the clubhouse patio window for the ideal drive.  A tough second shot for brave players into a narrow green, a must but avoid the water on the left.  A long thin green with a step to the back. Course Description - Lenches - Set in a peaceful undulating part of the complex The Lenches 9 hole course presents a fair test to experienced golfer and beginner alike. The combination of water hazards, strategically placed bunkers and two testing dog legs creates a course of great variety.
The first three holes are relatively open and short leading into longer more challenging holes from the 5 th onwards. The Lenches, named after a group of local villages, measures 5518 yards from the back tees and has a par of 70.
Saving the best till last, the feature hole of the course is the 9 th with the largest of the nine lakes at The Vale running up the right hand side of this spectacular par 5.
