The course is built to USPGA specification and is challenging but enjoyable, providing a variety of hazards. It is built on chalk, with a constant drainage system allowing vc all year round play on permanent tees and greens.

The longer holes are concentrated towards the back nine with
the 18th offering a par-five climax but well worth a round

stayed over and played at shendish for the bank hols.i think we got a good deal and having read some reviews i was very worried it wld be a disaster. but i must say it was a beautifull xperience. people tend to forget that these sort of courses are not meant for pro golfers but for us amateurs.how many of us can afford to be members of courses where you play £3ooo and above?.my only complaints about shendish are the fairways are a bit narrow and my bed was a bit too hard. a softer mattress would have been better. the food was excellent , services, and staff where top class.the environment is beautiful. i can keep going on lol, but this is the first time i have ever given a review for anything in my life , and i tell you what.... this is a great place to go for a week or a weekend with your partner or mates for golf.you wont find any pros on this course .if you think you are a pro golfer go play at saint andrews, or wentworth lol. but please dont dis shendish!
