Reviews
A real stretch for any golfer at over 6000 yards, this easy-walking parkland course has some very testing par 4's, and views over Whipsnade Zoo!
It's also on the top of a hill, so becomes even more testing when the wind gets up. Notable holes are the deceptively difficult 1st, the very tricky 5th whose green is well guarded, the long par 3 7th, the well guarded 9th, a monstrous par 5 11th, the 12th which is S.I. 1, and the 16th which is the most difficult of the seven dog-legs on the course.
The members I met were very friendly and welcoming, as were all the staff in the Clubhouse and Pro shop.
There are no nearby roads, so the course is generally very quiet (apart from the occasional jet going into Luton Airport), and the fairways are for the most part wide and welcoming, making it a thoroughly enjoyable experience all round.
