Greenacres is a challenging parkland course, compact, but in no ways is this a bad thing. The course is extremely undulating with many holes seeing a significant change in altitude from tee to green. From a welcoming start at the first, you are soon thrown into a demanding par four second where you play uphill and dogleg to the left. Water features in many of the holes and the first two par threes have water near the green as well as many bunkers. Greens generally are large and many of them feature dramatic slopes.
Star hole is the par five 18th. Nearly 500 yards, doglegging 90 degrees to the left, and a lake just in front of the green and out of bounds just beyond the green. It takes three good shots to give yourself a chance of birdie.
All in all an excellent golfing challenge, but very enjoyable. Booking is a must as it is a very popular course, but at around £20 per round, it's also incredible value.
