The Slieve Russell has hosted some major Irish PGA Tournaments, including The Irish PGA Championship in 1996 and the Quinn Insurance PGA Charity Pro-Am, which has been held since 1997 and has now become an annual event and boasts one of the highest prize funds in Europe.
The Slieve Russell has also played host to European Tour events - North West of Ireland Open in 2001 & 2002.
