About the Club
"Kanturk is derived from the Gaelic Ceann Tuirc meaning Boars Head, so named as it is reputed that the last wild boar in the country was captured in this area."
"The course is set in a scenic area with splendid views of Mount Hilary and the surrounding countryside, and is a challenging ...layout which demands accuracy from the tee and good iron play as the greens are small and not easy to hit in regulation. It provides a good test for all levels of golfing ability."
