I have played about 30 Links courses in Ireland and Northern Ireland (Spanishpoint,Carnee, Enniscrone, Sligo´s Rosses Points, Donegal, Cruit Islend, Rosapannas, Ballyliffins, Portstewards, Portrushes etc.) Now going to Kenmare Killeen, Ballybunions, Dingles, Dooks, Watervilles, etc.
But.... Otway has been one of the most always remembered - not because of the playable like Glashedy, Dunluce etc. not because of club society like Portrush, Sligo no no no...
Because it stops the "everything me just now..."-feeling and drives back to the history when Mr Smith is putting in the green on my way with Mr Galway and I am waiting with a small whiskey... After they finished and waived the cap I drive with iron to the fairway and maybe have some small talk with them...
Old golf history has landed and you can feel it (if you are clever enough!!!) All my friends had the same feeling between Sandy Hills and Clashedy links...
