Lets be honest shall we? Castle Hawk was a creation of well meaning enthusiasts and what they produced was a Golf Course that has no resemblance to that of what could be considered the "NORM"
9 Hole x 2 is the main track not pretty, not long, greens not great, but for the members its excellent value when you consider the other courses within a 15 mile radius. Castle Hawk also has a Par 3 secondary course, this is not easy or attractive but it offers beginners and juniors the opportunity to play Golf and improve in an environment that is not restrictive something that many of the other local clubs neglect. All in all there is a need for places like Castle Hawk, its relaxed dress code, its lack of any level of pretentiousness opens the door for many people to try the beautiful game out without having to give a blood test or references - But definitely will not suit those who expect any level of refinement or manicured facilities.
Club Pro- On sight. Club House - Basic. Course Condition - Not Good, Food-Snack Bar Grub, Friendliness-Fair. However Driving Range attached is excellent value with helpful and very friendly management

A poor course that looks like its located on a scrap yard, with a prefab clubhouse and a mud car park which floods. Badly maintained, no directions to tees, range balls all over the course, dreadful greens and the clubhouse closes at 4.00 p.m? Frankly pretty poor. Bugger to find also and if you can play much at all you aren't missing anything here even with a Groupon voucher ? AVOID !

This course is the best course I've played since I started

Great place to learn !!
Personally, I love the 18 hole course - do not be put off by 'par 3' - some of the holes are straightforward, some of them are a challenge for golfers of all standards.....many holes are around the 180-195yd range, with one par 4. Having been to a few clubs to learn etc, this club rates, in my view, as one of the best value - for around £15 you can have a hit on the driving range, play 2 golf courses all day, and get a pint afterwards.......say no more!! Ian
One of the best courses I have ever played. Breathtaking
scenery, superb fairways & immaculate greens make this
a magnificent experience. Sam L. Jackson
An extremely challenging par 3 course with one par 4. Ideal for beginners. A tremendous course. Joshua
9 hole course long and challenging, play to your handicap
