Played this course in April. It is just a big field. The best part was the motorway bridge bring you back towards the car park. The new 18th (played only once as this is a nine hole course) is bland and in poor condition. Catering - nil. Don't bother with this one - better go to nearby Whalley for a nine hole course with great food.

I played this course because it was 9 Hole as I wasnt sure when I would have to meet my wife. My home course is Brancepeth Castle which is in superb condition at the moment so I'm a bit fussy where I play. However I'm pleased to say I played 18 holes using the neat method they have of changing the holes as you go back around the nine. Course was in superb condition, greens a little long for me but the ball ran as true as an arrow, There is little rough to loose your ball. That does not make this an easy couse. The greens are sometimes small protected neatly by slopes and mounds, I was lucky not to find a bunker but they were well furnished with sand and well raked. Fairways were pristine, very well mown. All the greens were in very good condition and well cut, a credit to the green staff. The last hole is a very good Par 4 which i failed to par with two attempts, tricky, If you are in the Blackburn Area give this a try the welcome in the Club house was equal to the good quality of the course. 8/10 only because its a nine hole course.
