George
Lowe - 1888,
one of the oldest golf courses in Lancashire.
Location
Situated on the northwest outskirts of Rochdale within the boundaries of Norden and Bamford.
3 miles from Junction 20 of the M62 on the A680 heading out of Rochdale.
An excellent
conditioned course. Not really strict dress code. Course in
great condition, especially the greens. A great course for
high handicappers, but some testing holes for the more skilled
golfer. With a par of 72 a fairly easy course. All ages and
sexes welcome, but visitors can't play on tuesdays, thursdays
and saturdays. Juniors and lady members taken on every year,
however there is a long waiting list for male potentials. Paul Sutcliffe
