Reviews
The Lakes -
Quite a difficult course for high handicappers. Lakes are placed in front of greens
and therefore affecting approach shots - one or two requiring a considerable carry
to hit the green. Course management is key here and the purchase of a strokesaver
is a must for first time visitors. Course is set in beautiful surroundings and
the Hotel facilities are excellent - good value for the green fee. The Woodside
- a longer course than the lakes (6600 yds approx) off the yellow tees, is more
forgiving for higher handicappers. Boasts the longest hole in Europe (606 yds
off the white tees - 550 yds off yellows). Greens and fairways in good condition. John Billot
