Location
Leave the M25 at Junction 6 and take the A22 towards Purley. Just before Purley turn right onto the A2022 and follow for 1.5 miles to Sanderstead roundabout. Go over this roundabout and continue for another 1.5 miles, passing through the traffic lights. At the next main set of traffic lights, turn right into Featherbed Lane. Addington Court Golf Centre is located 0.5 mile on the right.
A great course for the beginner. Ideal confidence builder
and
brings on 'course' experience to go on to more challenging
ones as you get better.None of the 9 holes have any water
so losing balls is not a problem either!

The course is fairly easy to manage. Some tactically demanding
holes, however many straight forward ones aswell. The greens
are in good condition and true. For a visitor the course lay-out
or directions from one green to the next tee should be given
, as some of the holes are not near to each other, e.g. the
7th green and the 8th tee box also comming off the 4th green
with no directions to the 5th is confusing. The clubhouse
is great and the pro shop very friendly. Brendan Booth April 7, 2005
This is a real gem of a course. Just a short tram ride from
central Croydon, and with ample parking if you drive, the
lovely "Arts and Crafts" clubhouse provides a warm
welcome and the Pro Shop is staffed by knowledgeable and friendly
folk.
The Championship Course is a real challenge. Yes, it's short;
but every hole presents problems for the golfer. The first,
the only par 5 on the course, has a left side OB - and the
course slopes left! So play right? yes, and end up on the
18th!! Of course, the answer is to play straight...
The short holes (3, 8, 12, 14) are wicked - the 3rd (Satan's
Short) has no fairway at all, and a biggish bunker - but the
approach is through trees left and right. You *must• hit the
green or you are in deep something!
Farleigh's Leap, the spectacular 6th gave me my longest ever
drive, and pitching in to an upward sloping green makes this
a great hole.
The course can be tricky to navigate - but there's a perfectly
excellent yardage book available to guide you through, and
the Course Marshals are very helpful.
The course is in tip top condition, even in winter, as I
write; some mats are in play, and that's perfectly reasonable.
The greens are spiked now and play a bit variably - but in
normal weather, they are a joy.
A great course, a great club and great staff. Thanks! Nigel Bourne December 9, 2005
