Reviews

Horton Park has been undergoing some major renovations in recent times, indeed the 9 hole course has been completely closed for a couple of years now.
The 18 hole track however has remained open and has taken a lot of criticism locally for the poor quality of the course (especially in winter). However it seems that the place is now finally coming good. The greens are as good as I have seen them. A number of holes have been changed dramatically or lengthened to make the course more difficult.
Overall, there are some nice holes - the par 3 island green 10th being quite tough. Not a challenge for the single figure golfer and not the Belfry by any means, but at £20 great value golf inside the M25.

I just wanted to give a bit of a thumbs up to this busy but friendly pay and play track. Apart from holes 12-16 the course is much more varied than a lot of pricier (and snootier) clubs in the vicinity so what it lacks in manicure it makes up for in challenge. The greens are where you notice the difference with the private clubs, but these have also improved over the last two years and with a midweek winter offer of £10 a round plus a bacon buttie even a tight yorkshireman like me gets his money's worth! AT (16 Handicap).
