The course has
one of the best junior sections around. They have competitions every week, go
on trips away and play in all of the big competitions. The course has much improved
and is now one of the best municipal golf courses in Merseyside Unsigned
I have been playing this course every week for over a year
and still don't get bored of it. The scenery and quality of the course are very
good for a municipal and the green fees are a bargain. The holes are testing and
varied and you are likely to finish your round wanting another one!
Paul Dulac September 28, 2004 I agree with Paul's comments. Brackenwood
is a good allround course with plenty to offer most golfers. Brackenwood is well
maintained and does not show the wear and tear you would normally see on a popular
municipal course. A round at Brackenwood is also good value for money.
All in all, well worth a visit. Ian Carroll March 5, 2005
As a junior player of the course i think that it is excellent for beginners. Unsigned
October 7, 2005 A quality course with some challenging holes. The only
drawbacks are the state of some of the players, sharing clubs and holding up play
on what is a busy course. Too many temp greens and tees too often. Lovely greens
though generally and fairways but course etiquette leaves much to be desired with
lots of divots and poor bunkers. T. Hayes January 13, 2006 |
