Hesketh
is regularly chosen as a qualifying venue when the Open is played at nearby Royal Birkdale and has hosted county and national championships, Ladies golf tournaments, as well as the Lancashire Amateur Open.
Venue for the 2008 Junior Open R&A Junior Open Championship.
