NATIONAL COUNTY CARD RELATED INFORMATION

Please note that the National County Card scheme has been replaced by MyGolfPass, an electronic version that offers all the advantages of the Card, with additional benefits and flexibility of use.
For full details click here.

Are you a member of a golf club? Then get the rewards you deserve and play other fine clubs at preferential green fees!

If you are subscription paying member of a golf club, you may wonder why casual golfers who belong to no club can simply turn up with a £2.50 voucher and play at prices that may be as good those afforded to your guests.

National County Card - great discounts for private golf club members only!
ORDER NOW USING OUR SECURE SERVER TO RECEIVE YOUR
NATIONAL COUNTY CARD
JUST £24.95 !

Yet when you travel, you - who are helping to support the whole infrastructure of golf through your membership of a club - must pay a full green fee, unless you too buy vouchers like a casual visitor.

Not any more! Now you can play at almost a thousand fine clubs with great green fee discounts, simply by showing your National County Card which identifies you as a bona fide member of a recognised club.

Better still, if your own club joins the scheme, it will get additional benefits that will help to keep down the subs and promote the course to other experienced golf club members.

A 12 month membership of National County Card (NCC) costs only £24.95 which, with the discount levels frequently available at other participating clubs, will often pay for itself in the first game you play!

Clubs that accept the National County Card can be found all over the UK, Ireland, at many popular destinations in continental Europe, and at hundreds of superb venues in North America, and offer golf to suit every taste, handicap and budget.

Discount levels will vary from Club to Club, but in many cases the NCC green fee will be similar to the member's guest rate, or at least lower than the rates available to non-Club members using other discount schemes, that is to say better than 50% off the published green fee! Furthermore, there are many Clubs within the NCC scheme which accept none of the usual discount voucher schemes but who will happily welcome NCC Card holders and offer privileged rates (These UK and Ireland Clubs are marked with an asterisk on our full NCC venue listing).

Particpating Clubs range from such world famous venues as The Oxfordshire, Vale of Leven and Ring of Kerry, to all the Vilamoura courses on the Algarve, Sotogrande and La Manga in Spain and the Papillon Montgomerie course in Turkey, to name but a few in Europe. In North America, enjoy Sawgrass and Seminole, Indian Wells, Doral's Blue Monster, all eight of the famed Pinehurst courses, Kiawah Island and hundreds more! Many of these are private members Clubs only, so you cannot turn up as a visitor, even paying full fee. But your national County Card will give you entry, and preferential terms. And new venues are joining every day!

The Card costs just £24.95, so you can be saving money with your first round of golf!

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I find out which Golf Clubs participate in this scheme?
Participating Clubs are clearly marked with a - NATIONAL COUNTY CARD - on the county or regional listings of our Course Guide, as well as on the Club page itself, just below the 'Visitors' information. You can also click on the following links for a full list of participating golf courses:

Can I just turn up at a Club with my Card and play?
No. You must telephone the Club in advance and book a tee time, specifying that you will be using your National County Card. You should also check with them the green free rate you will pay and any specific requirements the Club may have.

Does the Card expire?
Yes. Your Card is valid for 12 months and must be renewed upon expiry to obtain the preferential NCC rates. To maintain the integrity of the scheme, Clubs are asked to check the expiry date on the card and reserve the right to ask for secondary identification if needed.

Is the Card transferable?
No. The Card is strictly nominative, in order to preserve the integrity of the scheme. You are strenuously requested not to disclose your unique NCC membership number to any person other than NCC membership services, golf officials and other persons to whom we authorise you to disclose your number and you should not allow any other person to use your Card. Some clubs may also ask for a form of secondary ID.

My Golf Club won't join any discount schemes as a matter of policy. Can I still be an NCC member?
Yes. If you are a duly paid up member of a Club who will vouch for that fact, you can join NCC irrespective of your home Club's policy.

Can I visit a participating Club with my regular fourball and play under the scheme?
Provided that each member of your fourball is an NCC member in his or her own right, you can play as a group at participating Clubs.

Do I need my handicap certificate to use the Card?
Some courses will require this, and may impose a handicap limit, but as you are a recognised golf club member you should benefit from the same rules that apply to the local members. You should check in our course directory, or when making the telephone booking.

My friend is already a member at a participating Club I want to visit. Can I get a discount on a member's guest green fee with my Card?
No. The Card is not valid in conjunction with other promotional offers.

How much can I save with my National County Card?
With nearly 1000 Club accepting the card, and more joining every day, this varies very much according to the Club you choose to play and the time of year, but in many instances you can recover the cost of the card in a single round and thereafter save enough money each time for a good lunch!

How quickly will I receive my Card when I order?
Because of the necessary checks that must be made to ensure the integrity of the scheme by only accepting paid-up golf club members, there will be a short delay, however NCC endeavours to deliver the Card within 14-21 days of your order being placed online.

I only play at other Clubs 2-3 times a year. Is it worth joining National County Card?
If any of the Clubs you visit is enrolled in NCC, you can probably recover the cost with your first game there. Why not suggest that your favourite Clubs join NCC? It's free, and has lots of benefits for them as well as for you!

How many Cards can I order?
The Card is strictly nominative and non-transferable, and is valid for twelve months, but you can of course order cards for family members or friends as a gift, providing that they too are bona fide members of a recognised golf club.

I live and play much of my golf overseas. Can I still be an NCC member?
As long as you are a member of a recognised Club who will vouch for you, you can join NCC and receive the benefits of membership all round the world. And of course, if you suggest to your favourite courses that they enroll (free!) in the scheme, both you and they will get extra benefits!

How often can I play using my National County Card?
There is no limit to the number of times you can play in a 12 month period. However, at some clubs the days or times you can use the card may be restricted subject to their competition / member requirements. Please check with the club when booking.

I can get a much bigger choice of UK courses by using one of the 2 for 1 voucher schemes. Why should I join NCC?
Certainly more Clubs are currently signed up to voucher schemes than to NCC, but that is changing every day, and there are many courses which are not on any voucher schemes. The NCC card is also international so savings can be made both in the UK and aboard. More Clubs are joining all the time from the UK as they discover the benefits of belonging to NCC. Also, the voucher schemes have been going for many years, used by Club and non-Club golfers, for lack of an alternative. However, now that NCC exists, Club members have their own scheme that benefits them and their Club, and for that reason we have more Clubs joining us every day. And, if you play more than ten times a year using vouchers, National County actually costs less to buy.

I already pay a lot of money for my Club subscription. Why should I pay more to join NCC, which is after all a scheme for Club members?
NCC was founded by a founded by a PGA professional and four keen golfers at a national media company, and most of the price of the NCC card, apart from administrative costs, goes back into the game of golf, and specifically into promoting Golf Club membership. Every participating UK Club receives a free advertising campaign to help generate more members (should the Club need them) undertaken by the owners of the scheme when it enrolls, and Clubs receive £5 every time one of their members buys a NCC card.
You will also find that many Clubs who join NCC do not accept any other form of discount scheme. If you belong to a Club, it is no doubt because you enjoy and believe in the benefits that membership brings . By joining NCC, you are helping to preserve and extend those benefits which - sadly - are under threat today.

Terms & Conditions

Please make yourself familiar with the terms and conditions of purchase and use of the National County Card (NCC) before you buy or use the Card.

A. MEMBERSHIP TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Booking a round
Always contact the telephone number provided for booking a round of golf and quote that you are a NCC member before arriving for a round of golf. It is your responsibility to make sure you are aware of clubs' local rules and policies before you book, and also to confirm the price which you will pay. High and low seasons vary from club to club.

2. Pricing of a round of golf
Prices published on our web site are correct at the time of publishing, however, they are subject to change without notice and you must confirm the price you will pay with the member club/booking agent prior to your arrival. The onus is on you to confirm a price, and we are not liable for any incorrectly published prices.

3. Membership cards
As a deterrent to misuse of a NCC card we both encourage member clubs to ask for secondary identification in addition to the NCC Card when you arrive at the club. We trust that you, as a member, will understand and support our reasons for protecting the integrity of our scheme. NCC will always be the owner of your membership card. Accordingly, at any time during your membership, we may replace your membership card at our own cost and upon termination of your membership you must return your card to us. An administration fee of £15 is chargeable should you request a replacement membership card.

4. Verification
National County Card will only issue membership cards to card purchasers who we can verify as being the member of their stated golf club. The first method we use is to contact your stated club and request verification. The second method is to request that you provide us with printed evidence by fax or post, either of your stated club membership card or the page on which your name is printed in your club handbook. As such, we are reliant on either your stated golf club or you to assist us in obtaining us with verification. We cannot be held responsible should both your stated golf club and you fail to provide us with adequate proof that you are a member of that club. Applications that we deem to be invalid will be informed in writing that a NCC card will not be issued and your National County Card membership fee will not be returned.

5. General
Any member golf club can, at their discretion, decline to allow a member to play golf at their course or amend their terms published on this web site. NCC shall not be held liable in such an event and we further recommend that all bookings are made in advance and that individual course etiquette is understood and adhered to. You must not disclose your unique NCC membership number to any person other than membership services, golf officials and other persons to whom we authorise you to disclose your number and you must not allow any other person to use your membership card. The membership card is issued for your benefit only and is non-transferable.

B. PAYMENT TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Agreement
NCC cannot accept your order until You have paid for it in full. You may pay by MasterCard, Visa Debit, Visa Delta, Visa Connect, Visa, Switch or Solo. Upon payment, NCC will confirm receipt of your order by an acknowledgement displayed onscreen once your payment details have been accepted, followed by an e-mail which will be sent to the e-mail address you provide on your order details. You will have an opportunity to check and correct any input errors in your order up until the point at which you submit your order by clicking the "submit" button. Your order represents an offer to us to purchase the goods which is accepted by us when we send you an e-mail confirming acceptance of your order. A legally binding contract between us is created at the point of our acceptance of your order. NCC reserves the right to choose not to accept your order for any reason, at its discretion, and will not be liable to you or anyone else in those circumstances. The supply of products is subject to availability.

2. Prices and Payment
The prices for goods and services displayed for sale on this website are as set out on the website. All prices are in pounds (£) sterling, inclusive of VAT where applicable. Delivery may be charged in addition, and any such additional charges are clearly displayed where they apply. Prices may change at any time prior to (but not after) acceptance of your order. In the unlikely event that the price of an item has been incorrectly advertised on this website, we will contact you by e-mail (at the address provided with your order details) or telephone you, to ask whether you wish to proceed with the order at the correct price. If you are not happy to proceed, or we are unable to obtain your instructions, we will cancel the order and provide you with a full refund of any monies debited. By using a credit/debit card to pay for your order, you confirm that the card being used is yours. All credit/debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your card refuses to authorise payment we will not accept your order and we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery and we are not obliged to inform you of the reason for the refusal. We are not responsible for your card issuer or bank charging you as a result of our processing of your credit/debit card payment in accordance with your order.

3. Delivery
Subject to availability, NCC will use its reasonable endeavours to deliver the goods You have ordered, within 14-21 days of You placing the order but we cannot accept any liability for late deliveries which are due to circumstances outside of our reasonable control. We will deliver the goods direct to the address You specify when You submit your order. Deliveries are made by post, normally between the hours of 8am and 5pm. The precise timing of a delivery cannot be specified. If your order consists of more than one item, those items may be delivered separately, but we cannot deliver items within the same order to multiple addresses. Deliveries will be made to your door. NCC is not responsible for any additional carrying or positioning of goods. NCC will always be the owner of your membership card. Accordingly, at any time during your membership, we may replace your membership card and upon termination of your membership you must return your card to us.

4. Your right to cancel
You may cancel your order (or any part of it) at any stage before the goods are delivered to You, and up to 30 days afterwards, by notifying us in writing at the following address:

If You choose to cancel your order, You must return any goods received by You to the relevant address (see above) at your own risk and cost, and, unless You are returning faulty or defective goods (see Section 5, below), in as good condition as when they were delivered to you. NCC shall refund your payment card account with any monies debited from it, less an administration fee of £15, as soon as possible after receiving notice of cancellation from you, and in any case within 30 days of receipt of that notice, subject to your returning the goods as set out above.

5. Faulty goods
NCC will repair or replace faulty or defective goods returned to Us for which we are responsible in accordance with your legal rights. In the event that You wish to return goods to Us because they faulty or defective, you should notify us using the details set out in Section 4, above and return the goods to the relevant address set out there.

6. Security
NCC understands that you may have concerns about security on the internet. Our website uses a secure server that implements secure sockets layer (SSL) technology in our on-line ordering process to protect your payment card information. In the unlikely event of fraudulent or unauthorised use of your payment card by someone else to purchase goods from us on our server we will refund to you any money received by us as a result but only if you have notified your payment card issuer and us by telephoning us on +44 (0)161 968 8800 as soon as you became aware of the unauthorised use of your card.

Once you have completed the selection of products you wish to purchase you may proceed to place an order. As soon as You click "submit" your browser will go into secure mode. Data relating to your order and your personal and payment card details will all pass to our server in an encrypted format. As soon as you have finished ordering you will exit secure mode. As an additional protection for you, our system is designed so that you cannot place an order until you are safely within secure mode.

We recommend that You do not communicate your payment card details to anyone, including us, by e-mail. We cannot be responsible for any losses you may incur in transmitting information to us by internet link or by e-mail. Any such loss shall not be borne either wholly or partly by us, and shall be entirely your responsibility.

If you have any additional queries about security, please e-mail: info@nationalcountycard.co.uk.

You are responsible for the use you make of the goods. To the extent not prohibited by law, NCC accepts no liability for any loss which is not reasonably foreseeable or for any business loss (which includes loss of profits, contracts, goodwill, opportunity and other similar losses).
