The Club is unusual in that its royal status was conferred at the outset, with the Prince of Wales, later to become King Edward VII, accepted the invitation to become the Club's Patron. Four Members of the Royal Family have captained the Club over the years, the Duke of Gloucester, the Duke of Windsor and two Dukes of Kent.
Location The Royal West Norfolk Golf Club is located on the coast, between Hunstanton and Wells.

This isn't really a review of the course, but the reception when asked if visitors were welcome. Not knowing just how top notch the course is, a simple sorry would have sufficed. However, it was made perfectly clear to us that we were definitely not welcome!
We went on to Sheringham, which was a much more pleasant experience...
We only asked!......
