Managed to stop at the Edwalton Club whilst in passing and
squeezed in a quick 9 holes. A delightful little course with
the added bonus of a par 3 course on site. The holes are fairly
long, with few hazards, but still challenging as you can't
always see the pin from the tee!

As I came into Edwalton I noticed the course and thought
of having a game. It proved to be most enjoyable, as I managed
to slot in an enjoyable 9 holes. Overall, friendly service
coupled with a well maintained playing area - I would recommend
Edwalton to anyone.

I used to be a member of this course and play every week
and in all comps and found it most enjoyable untill it was
taken over then the prices went up. I found it no longer was
that friendly place of old and the cost of it went up all
too much as it is only a 9 hole course and council owned.

This used to be my favourite course but playing it today
for the first time this year, I'm amazed how the quality of
everything has gone downhill.
The greens are terrible, there are still winter tees and the
prices have sky-rocketed.
To cap it all they closed the club house while there were
still players on the course. I met some poor souls in the
car park who couldn't even get a cup of tea!
Very very poor.
A wonderful course ruined by bad service.

I've played this course all year and for around a fiver
(mid week) I found it good value for money. Some people don't
like change but I think this course has changed for the better.
I recommend visiting this course in the summer but be early
as it does get busy.

I've been a member for 3 years and joined because of the welcome and friendliness of the other members.
The main course is longer than most, with wide fairways and bunkers on every green. - Some of them with very high front edges! However, many of the fairways are ridge and furrow and a bad bounce can leave you with a potentially nasty shot and uneven lie to get out of trouble, so accuracy really makes a difference. It's a difficult course to get your handicap down on, but if you can play well there you can play well anywhere. Some clubs dismiss Edwalton as only a simple 9 hole course and in my experience have lived to regret their comments in return matches... The Par 3 course is pretty lengthy too, with several holes running at 190+ yards.
