Fairly flat front nine followed by undulating back nine that is considered one of the best nine holes in the county

Course Reviews
The low course is an interesting par three course ideal for the beginner. Each hole is different, the course is quite hilly, and it's an enjoyable little challenge. I would recommend a visit. Name not supplied
I have played the low/short course a few times and I find it to be very well designed with enough challenge to keep interest, but not too hard! a wide variety of holes and hazards etc make it a very good course! Martin Walters
An excellent course that starts out some easy par fours with birdie opps. The back 9 however offer a good challenge due to the demands on length, height, traps and slopes! No water, but more than enough to punish even the average tee shot. An excellent course, made even better in value if you use the 2-fore-1! vouchers - 18 holes of great golf for £7.50!!! Course facilities are excellent, with good driving range, restaurant and pro shop. Simon Taylor
I was taken on the par 3 18 hole 'low' course by a friend when I started playing. It feels more like a cut down real course with wide enough fairways to not get into too much trouble.
Clubhouse and food is excellent as is the quality driving range.
At weekends the low course can get crowded at the first hole but by the third you usually have very short waiting times if it is busy.
Only downside is the winter tees which can be very rough and much shorter than the normal ones, and some steepish slopes to walk down which needs good grip! A J Booker
Unlike many of the courses that we have played the tee-off times at Ramsdale were very well spaced out, and at no time did we feel rushed. The front nine was flat but made all the more interesting by the placement of the bunkers (which I now feel that I know very well). The back nine is one of the most interesting that we have played, although not very forgiving.
The course was in excellent condition for the time of year, the only down side being the use of mats on all the par 3 holes, which could not be helped.
All in all great value for money. Geoff Nixon January 25, 2005
The low course is brilliant for a par 3 with a range of holes with the bunkers very well placed. The range is also one of the best i have used and i also play here most weeks. The club house food and staff are all top notch Ben July 13, 2005
Excellent course, been round a lot of courses up and down the country but this one is definitely one of the best. Very challenging back 9. Robert Eanshaw August 22, 2005
On new year's eve 3 friends & i turned up for a game, the back 9 was closed & temporary greens were in use. We were charged £13 which i found unbelievable. i will not use the golf club again. Glenn Shaw January 9, 2006
I played on this course in August 2005 and have never forgotten it to this day. What a challenge, fantastic day had by all and i'm hoping to tame the beast again in April 06 on the Notts County FC golf day. Mark Lister April 1, 2006
