About the Course
Seven times host to The Open, most recently in 2007, which saw the first European victory for Padraig Harrington since Paul Lawrie in 1999, also at Carnoustie.
The course is also one of the venues for the Dunhill Links Championship.
The 2011 Ricoh Women's British Open will be played at Carnoustie.
Prior to that Carnoustie will stage the Seniors Open in 2010 where Loren Roberts will defend the title he won at Sunningdale.
