NE outskirts of Kirriemuir. 17m N of Dundee
From the A90 take the Kirriemuir turn off which is at the north end of the Forfar by-pass, follow the road to the hamlet of Checkiefield, follow the signs for Northmuir. At the T junction turn right then left at 50yds. The course is located at the crossroads in the Northmuir.

"Kirriemuir’s best is reserved for the finish. The 17th a 180yds, par 3 which is guarded by two majestic trees, this hole lives up to its name “Braids Gem”.
The 18th is a difficult par 4, it is uphill with a large oak tree blocking the right half of the fairway".
