Origins of the Club	Montrose Caledonia GC was formed in 1896 by a group of local men.
Location	Montrose is situated on the east coast of Scotland in an area rich with good golf courses (Carnoustie is only a 30 minute, Gleneagles and St Andrews are within easy reach and many less famous, but no less enjoyable courses much closer to hand.)
