Situated to the west of Dumfries and is easily reached from the Dumfries bypass (A75).
Dumfries town is 12 miles from the M6/M74 motorway providing easy access to the area.
"All the fairways are generous, the rough is graded and cut to avoid prolonged ball searching, and a round can be enjoyed by all categories of golfer."
Each year the course hosts national championships for both men (Sutherland Chalice, July 15-16, 2006) and women (Mary McCallay Trophy, Sunday, August 13, 2006).
