About the Course 'Out of bounds lies to the left of the first 4 holes and the 18th, and also to the right of the 9th and 10th. A pond lies to the right of the par 3 5th green, the 12th requires you to drive over a disused quarry, and there are clumps of gorse, trees and rough in which you can easily lose a ball if you don’t get a good line on it.'
Reviews

i am a member of Burntisland golf club. i am 17 years old , and the boys captain, and i think that the course is a great little test no matter what the wheather. And i feel i am not alone in this view as all the visitors seem to agree when i hear them reviewing their round in the bar over a drink or two.
The reason i say it is a good test no matter the weather is probably the changes in elevation as of the hills which makes it one of the hardest courses to walk in the area . The course rarely plays the same as the wind affects the shots and the tricky greens that i am still to master so there's thinking to be done.
It is not a long course as it was designed in 1887 and with technology drivers and short irons are only needed on a good driving day. There is a distintive difference in the handicaps of the men as on the alphabetical sheet u take a while to find the same handicap twice.
So in conclusion it is a nice test and it has good facilities, so come and play it u may be surprised as it is only at 5995 yards
