18-hole fine heathland championship course with magnificent panoramic views over the surrounding countryside to the sea. And with five separate tee positions at every hole, Duke's has the flexibility and challenge to appeal to golfers at every level.
A magnificent course. Quite long compared to my local course but open enough to ensure losing few,if any, balls. Loads of massive bunkers and I found the greens` contours difficult to read but gradually got the hang of it. Changing rooms and the quality of the staff were both of the highest order. Less fit golfers should consider a buggy (although at £40 , expensive) as the course is quite hilly.
The litmus test: Would you go again?
Answer: Most definitely.
PS My 8/10 is based on giving Carnoustie`s Championship course 10/10
