Junior Policy
Kids Play Free: a junior (16 yrs or under) plays for free when accompanied by a fee paying adult.
Before 1.30 pm this is on a one to one adult/child ratio, after 1.30 pm an adult may have two juniors accompany on a complimentary basis. Subject to times available.

Course Designer
Designed by the late Gene Sarazen and winning Ryder Cup Captain, Sam Torrance, modified by Gary Stephenson. The course re-opened 14th July 2009.

St Andrews Bay is approximately 2 miles from St Andrews town centre, and 20 minutes from Leuchars railway station.
Edinburgh is 50 minutes south of St Andrews Bay.
Glasgow is 90 minutes south-east of St Andrews Bay.

The Torrance is an Open Qualifying Course for the 2010 Open Championship and host to one of the most prestigious tournaments on the European Senior Tour, the Cleveland Golf/Srixon Scottish Senior Open ( 2009).
The five-star Fairmont St Andrews resort has been voted the International Association of Golf Tour Operators' (IAGTO) European Golf Resort of the Year 2012.

From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome. We got held up in horrendous traffic due to the Leuchars air show so phoned ahead and were told to relax they would push the T time back which was excellent. Bacon rolls and tea on arrival (remember to take 2 rolls as you will be charged for 2, I only took 1 and had to pay the fixed charge!) Nice locker room- then to the practice area- 50 balls for £3.50. Practice range was well equiped- Short game area, bunkers, putting green and driving bays hitting of real turf not mats! The course itself was a pleasure to play. Can't say there was a hole that I disliked. The condition of the course was fantastic, fairways and greens were like carpets, the greens were like lightning. Played the course in quite a stiff breeze, so it made reaching the long par 4's in two quite tricky but when driving with the wind at your back it flew for miles. Greens were very tricky will lots of run off areas and false fronts and swales, but fair. A good shot is rewarded. Would love to go back again. I would recommend this course to anyone. Views from the clubhouse are amazing. Have fun, I did.
