Facilities
• The "art deco" clubhouse design affords stunning views over the Moray Firth.
• Practice Area
• Within the following few years, the Castle Stuart Resort will include a small luxury Hotel & Spa & health club, "resort-ownership" lodges & apartments, plus a second seaside course
NB Caddies should be requested in advance
The centrepiece for this destination golf resort is Castle Stuart Golf Links, a championship links course overlooking the Moray Firth and well-known landmarks that are synonymous with Inverness and the Black Isle - Kessock bridge and Chanonry Lighthouse perhaps the most notable.
Distinctive course features include "rumples" which are areas of uneven small hillocks and hollows, bunkers, infinity edges and landscape mosaic. Undulating terrain and angles of play create key elements of course defence. It is a thinking man's golf experience with player length not an unmitigated advantage.
NB
• The Resort is built on land bequeathed by Mary Queen of Scots to her half brother the first Earl of Moray.
• Venue for the 2011 Scottish Open.
