the course |
Lanark golf club is believed to be the 25th oldest golf club
in the world.
"Lanark is never an easy course, despite the excellent
condition of its greens and fairways. Good players can shine
at Lanark however, as we saw when Sam Torrance, of Ryder cup
fame, carded a 64 here. When the rough is at its summer height,
and the wind blows, scores like that are just a golfer's dream."
It has played host to the regional qualifier for the Open
championship on 12 occasions during the past 25 years. |
