About the Courses 1.The King's Golf Course is a masterpiece of design, which has tested the aristocracy of golf, both professional and amateur. Past Host to the Curtis Cup, Dunhill Trophy, Scottish Open and the WPGA Championship of Europe.
2. The Queen's Golf Course
The natural beauty of the Queen's Course inspires the world's most experienced players.
3.The PGA Centenary Course is a modern classic, combining the best of both the Queen's and King's. Host venue for the 2014 Ryder Cup Matches.

Gleneagles is the proud host of the 40th Ryder Cup on The PGA Centenary Course on 26-28th September 2014.
Course Changes for the Ryder Cup "Key course changes to Jack Nicklaus' design were finished some time ago, with the removal of a bunker in the middle of the 13 th fairway over the winter the last piece in the remodelling jigsaw.
Since then, at the request of European captain Paul McGinley, work around the greens has been noticeable. Tightly mown swales, areas hoped to favour the hosts, are now a feature throughout the golf course.
"We've created swales around the greens on a number of holes"..."Of course, some have been there a long time. Some were tightly mown, some were three inch rough. Some of them have just been mown down, some have been altered and some have been introduced.
I would say the swales at the par-3 10 th, to the left of the green, and at the back of the short par-4 14 th , have made a big difference.  The 10th was always there, but it was longer grass and it's now been mown down. It focuses the mind, especially for a back left pin. It makes it a lot more challenging. Two bunkers were removed previously at the back of 14, creating a swale with nice shape. Behind the 1st and the 2nd greens you can also see a difference, although those swales are a little older when we took bunkers away."

I've only played there once but it was an absolute pleasure. A great round of golf.
