Superb course with great views set in beautiful surroundings. Warm reception and good facilities. Greens A1. Matthew Wright April 4, 2006
Bath Golf Club isn't all that well publicised, and its easy to drive past the entrance without knowing it's there. Set up on the limestone hills surrounding Bath, it has some of the best views I've ever witnessed while golfing! Drainage is excellent, and greens are better than Celtic Manor. The tees are sometimes a bit scruffy, and some not entirely flat, but the general condition of the 130 year old course is superb. The course will definitely prove a challenge, and when the wind gets up (as it often does), it can punish you!
Practice facilities are excellent for improving your game, but note that the driving range isn't long enough for really big hitters. In my honest opinion I can definitely say this course is better than most of its local rivals: Tracey Park, West Wilts, Kingsdown, Erlestoke, Frome etc etc.... but doesn't quite have the wow factor of places like Manor House or Bowood.
