Course Designer James Braid - 1897. It was then known as "Tamworth Golf Club".
The GolfMark High Achiever Award This club holds the GolfMark Award, meaning that it is a safe and fun environment for junior golfers to discover, learn and play golf.
Location 2m S on A4091, next to Drayton Manor Leisure Park, 1 mile south of A5. Good transport links via the M6 and M42 motorways.

About the Course Drayton Park GC has many features of a typical James Braid course:
  • It is not overlong, Drayton Park is 6473 yds
  • It has only 2 par 5's
  • Only 3 par 3's - difficult to hit and always a challenge
  • Narrow tree lined fairways with strategically placed bunkers and well protected greens
  • 7 par 4's are between 400 and 450 yards

Great course with greens that are remarkable for the time of year. Some great holes and it really does take some playing with tree lined fairways and some water on a number of holes. The course is easy walking and well worth a visit.
