Played on 23.8.05 and course was in very good condition. Some tough holes and although it's not great you really need the course planner as some holes have odd layouts. Quite tight in places.

Too expensive for the course itself. What you are actually paying for is the clubhouse, which combines modern decor with a very good traditional spike bar.
I'm guessing the club has invested a lot in the club house, shame they haven't done the same for what is an ordinary course bar a handful of holes. Not good enough considering there are 27 in total to choose from.
Shame. I had high hopes. Paul October 27, 2005
This course must have either a very high water table, or very poor drainage. I played there on 2/11 and there was standing water on a number of fairways, and in the majority of the bunkers. Shots of a reasonable height would 'plug' badly on the fairways as well as the rough, and hills were way too slippery even with spikes on. Shame - it's a good course in summer and the facilities are great.

I think the reviews so far are a bit harsh. I play a lot of courses across Surrey and Kent and the holes are very interesting. It's a good length and a choice of 3 9's gives it an edge on most of its competitors. Improvements they need to make include sorting their greens out - I've played it 3 times and drainage does seem to be an issue - the size of the drainage holes are enough to move your ball a foot out when you're putting from distance - there is an improvement in the summer though. The 19th is cracking but with a bit of TLC this could be a cracker of a course and if you use the vouchers then it becomes good value for money. S. Burford May 8, 2006
