I played this course recently during their Open week and what a pleasure it was. A gentle start which just got better and better. The course is not long by modern standards but includes a lot of challenging par 4's that are well over 400yds. The 4th,5th, 9th and 15th being particularly memorable. There are 5 par 3's all of which are tough but superb! The 12th is just simply brilliant. The only possible negative is that the par fives are a bit on the short side (for the longer hitters anyway!). The condition of the course was awesome. I can honestly say that I have not played on better greens anywhere this year and that includes a good number of championship courses in England and Scotland. For the record I am a cat 1 golfer. Thoroughly recommended!
