About Golf at Goodwood "The Golf Club is generally accepted as being one of the premier golf courses in Britain. It provides a challenge, even to the more experienced golfer. Not only does the course test every aspect of play, it is thought to be one of the most beautiful and spectacular, nestled between the South Downs and the Solent with dramatic views across the landscape."

First visit - company membership and entertained some clients. Lovely setting on the Goodwood Estate and the club welcome and service was fabulous. The course, there are 2 and we played the Downs course. Fantastic views and no 2 holes were the same. Fairways lined by beautiful forests - what a treat not to have pine trees all over the course. Greens were two paced i.e. fast one way and slow the other - as they should be. Subtle breaks. Good test of golf....surprised at how windy it was but it is almost on the coast. Great setting, great course and fantastic hospitality - what more could you want!!

Played this course on Monday 20th June. Well laid out countryside course. Nice greens, punishing 18" high rough on one side of most holes and both sides on some. Good clubhouse facilities, friendly staff.
