Description
The 18-hole grass fully floodlit golf course and academy is the first golf course in Ras Al Khaimah and the second of its kind in the UAE.
The unique character of Tower Links is derived from it being sited in and around a Mangrove reserve.
Instead of Bermuda grass a new species of grass, Paspallum, has been sown. Paspallum is saline tolerant and as a result, reduces the costs associated with golf course construction in the Gulf. Unusually for the Gulf, Bermuda grass has not been used on the fairways. Instead, a new species of grass, Paspallum, has been sown. Paspallum is saline tolerant, the saline water used for the irrigation acts as a natural pesticide, & Paspalum grass reduces the level of fertilizer usage, all this combining to diminish the adverse impact on the environment.
In the near distance, the Hajar mountains further enhance the already natural quality of the course.
