There are 3 nine-hole courses here, meandering around some dramatic countryside. Had the opportunity to play all 3 - Valley, Waterfall and River on a recent trip to Ipoh in October 2011. Course is in fair condition for a Country Club course, great test for a beginner to intermediate Golfer. Unlike Royal Perek which is set up as a classic parkland style course, you have to navigate your way around all 3 of these layouts. Good variety of raised tees and greens, hazards on the way with plenty of O/B left and right, and not much run on the fairways. Greens are true if a little slow compared with European / US greens mainly down to the grass used but still a good test. Abundance of wildlife too to share the round with you. All-in -all courses very enjoyable, challenging if your shots are wayward with the most challenging in my opinion being the Valley, then Waterfall courses. Club House is about to have a minor refit, but clean and tidy, staff very helpful. Pro-shop has a good level of stock and prices, and Cafe food reasonably priced. If you are in Ipoh on Business and missing your Golf definitely worth a stop.
