The Golf Course was opened in March 2007 by Colin Montgomerie, Retief Goosen and Nancy Lopez. The course officially opened in July 2009.
The golf course has been laid out over the available area with minimum impact to the existing landscapes by carefully routing the golf course through the existing old palm plantations and tropical forest swamp areas.

This is one of the most spectacular courses I have played in Nigeria. From the Tee Boxes to the the putting green, the course is in Fantastic shap. the Fairway is still maturing but the putting green if very much like you will find on any of the USA PGA courses.
There is the Signature Hole 3 Par 3 whish is a 200 feet drop shot, played blind into and undulating green. The the most dangerous Par 5, Hole 4, where you have to tee off through what looks like a tunnel with water and forest hazards in bith Sides.
I will recommend this course to anyone looking for a thorougly challenging course with a 5 star class service.
