About Goose Valley Magnificent views of the lagoon, the ocean and the Tsitsikamma Mountains.
Abundant animal and bird life.
Beautiful natural fynbos and trees.
A relatively short course, but accuracy is required to avoid getting in the tough roughs and high-walled pot bunkers.
Goose Valley Golf Club was voted 80th in the list of Golf Digest top 100 SA golf courses in May 2012.

I have never seen this course in a bad state – its upkeep is impeccable and can be relied upon, come summer or winter.
It pays to be accurate as opposed to a big hitter as the bunkers are well placed, and some of the holes are pretty narrow. It is scenic, and enjoyable and very popular with overseas visitors as the greens remain true and manageable for the average golfer. Women, in particular, enjoy Goose for its soft terrain and comparatively easy walking.
The most challenging hole on the course has to be the Par 5 7th with water lining the left hand side of the fairway in a dog-leg left, and numerous bunkers on all sides. This is followed by a relatively easy Par 5 8th providing a good birdie opportunity.
The par 3 11th is one of the prettiest drop down shots in the Garden Route. It’s not quite so pretty viewed from the inside of one of the pothole bunkers surrounding the hole.
Plenty of Egyptian geese in the dams, and the odd mongoose, snake and tortoise keep you on the lookout in the rough.
A drink on the veranda overlooking the 18th green is calming, with the mountains in the background framing the course. - J Scotcher, June 2012
