Houghton Golf Club is rated in the top ten courses of South Africa. It has hosted eight South African Opens since World War II and is now the home of the South African PGA Championship.
Not a long course which doesn't mean it's easy and some exciting tee shots and approaches are required if you are attempting to master it.
The site is a bird sanctuary with Egyptian geese, guinea fowl, dikkhops, plovers and a variety of waterfowl in abundance.
