When next you visit Johannesburg, make Observatory your golf course of first choice. Velvety greens running true, second to none. Narrow fairways challenge your drive. No fairway is level or flat. No green is level or flat. (I left my 12 deg Adams in the bag and used my 17 deg XX10 to good effect) As a first timer there were surprises around every corner.
I have played the Old Course, Carnoustie and others and rate Observatory as an exellent challenge for any level of golfer.
