The Beachwood course was taken over by Durban Country Club in the early 1990's and underwent some refining and alterations to bring the course closer to Championship standard.

From Durban city centre, take the M4 north and turn off onto the Virginia Airport exit. Turn right into Fairway Avenue and follow the signs to the Beachwood Country Club on your left hand side.

"Beachwood for more than 65 years a Golf Club in its own right, is now the alternate Golf Course offered by Durban Country Club, which lies about 5 minutes drive away along the Freeway. It has been that way since 1995.
Although it borders the Indian Ocean, Beachwood does not quite have the accentuated undulating fairways so common to Links courses, especially those of the Country Club Course."
